Introduction

SSF Guide Nepal (ssf.digitalsolutionnepal.com) is an independent educational and service-assistance platform operated by Digital Solution, Nepal.

It is not the official website of the Social Security Fund and has no official relationship with the Social Security Fund or the Government of Nepal. The Social Security Fund's official website is ssf.gov.np.

This privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, and what rights users have over their information.

Information we collect

1. Assistance Request Form — when you request help with KYC verification, SSF registration, profile correction, or employer onboarding, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Mobile or WhatsApp number
  • District
  • User category
  • Preferred contact channel
  • Email — optional
  • Current country — optional
  • A description of the problem or need
  • The text of the consent checkbox the user accepted
  • The IP address from which the form was submitted
  • Optional consent to receive marketing updates

The consent checkbox text and submission IP address are stored as evidence of the user's consent.

Marketing consent is entirely optional. Declining marketing consent has no effect on your assistance request.

2. Ask SSF AI — chat messages users write in Ask SSF AI are processed through Google's Gemini API to prepare answers.

Do not write OTPs, passwords, banking PINs, citizenship numbers, personal documents, or other sensitive information in the AI chat. We do not ask for such details through chat.

3. Calculators, Assessment, and Checklists — no personal details are collected when using these.

Checklist ticks and the state of the one-time welcome popup are stored only in your browser's localStorage. This information is not sent to Digital Solution's server.

4. Push Notifications — if you opt in to notifications, only the push subscription your browser provides (endpoint and keys) is stored, so we can send new guides/updates. It contains no name or personal identity, and you can unsubscribe any time from your browser or this page.

Cookies

The platform uses only limited cookies:

  • NEXT_LOCALE: to remember your language preference
  • Login session cookie: only when authorized Digital Solution staff use the admin panel
  • Google Analytics (GA4): to understand anonymous usage statistics such as visits and pages viewed — cookies like _ga may be used. It does not identify you personally.

We do not currently use advertising or targeted-advertising cookies. If advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) is introduced in future, this policy will be updated and disclosed.

Embedded YouTube videos

YouTube videos on the platform load from youtube-nocookie.com only after you click Play. Until then, only the video's thumbnail image loads.

Once a video plays, YouTube's own privacy practices may apply.

Information we never collect

SSF Guide Nepal does not collect the following through the website:

  • Citizenship numbers
  • Uploads of citizenship or other documents
  • OTPs
  • Passwords
  • Banking details
  • Banking PINs
  • Payment details or online payments through the website

If any paid assistance service carries a fee, it is agreed with the user separately and directly. No payment is processed through the website.

Why is the information used?

Collected information is used only for the following purposes:

  • To understand your assistance request
  • To contact you
  • To provide the requested assistance
  • To improve the platform's content and services
  • To keep a record of consent
  • To send relevant updates to users who gave marketing consent

Digital Solution does not sell users' personal information.

Third-party services and data storage

Assistance-request data is stored on Digital Solution's server, hosted on a VPS provided by Hostinger.

Messages sent to Ask SSF AI are processed by the Google Gemini API to prepare answers. Google Analytics (GA4) is used for anonymous usage analytics. Playing an embedded video may invoke YouTube's privacy practices.

Personal information is not shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

Data retention

Information related to assistance requests and consent may be kept as long as necessary to resolve the request, perform follow-up, and maintain a record of consent.

Users may request deletion of their data. Unless limited information must be kept for legal, security, or legitimate record-keeping reasons, the relevant data will be removed after a deletion request is received.

Data security

We apply appropriate administrative and technical safeguards to keep personal information secure. Data access is limited to necessary, authorized Digital Solution staff.

However, no internet or digital storage system is entirely risk-free, so complete or 100% security cannot be guaranteed.

Your rights

Users may make the following requests about their personal information:

  • To see the information we hold
  • To correct wrong or incomplete information
  • To delete personal information
  • To stop marketing updates

To make a request, contact us via:

For security, we may ask for basic additional information to confirm the requester is the real owner of the data. We will never ask for OTPs, passwords, or banking PINs.

Children's information

This platform is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Users under 18 who need personal assistance should contact us with the help of a parent or responsible adult. If we learn that a child's personal information was received unnecessarily, its removal can be requested.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated as the platform, technology, or legal requirements change. After any change, a new "last updated" date will be shown on this page.
